![]() | ![]() The rate of photons at a particular wavelength and power is calculated by use of the equation for photon energy, E = hc/λ (where h is Planck's constant).

![]() For reference, the wavelength of ultraviolet light is in the range 100-400 nm, visible light is in the range 400-800 nm, and infrared light is in the range of 800 nm - 10 microns and beyond. While the default calculation is for photons per second, the units menu allows you to calculate for any other time unit required. The units menu also allows you to choose, for example, to quote the number of photons in moles if desired. | ||||||||||
