The differential equations describing Fanno flow can be solved to find important relations and how they vary with Mach number. This calc gives these ratios for any input Mach number and γ value, but does not make a judgement about whether the input or output is sensible.

Fanno flow is used to calculate compressible or incompressible flow characteristics through constant area ducts with the consideration of friction. In Fanno flow, the stagnation temperature is a constant. Since all the inputs and outputs are ratios, they are all dimensionless.
Gamma (γ) is the heat capacity ratio of the gas (1.4 in dry air at 20 C, and decreasing with temperature)
