The logit function gives a "sideways" s-curve that is used extensively in statistics and some other disciplines. Suitable input values are between 0 and 1.
Before using the logit, be sure you are using an appropriate base for the log. Different bases give logits that are proportionally different. Here, the most commonly used logit bases (e and 10) are calculated.
