Assuming square tiles, the number you need to cover an area is found. If tiles need to be cut, then each part-tile is counted as 1 tile. If the number or area per pack is entered, then the number of packs required is also calculated.
First, enter the dimensions of the area to cover (length a and b), and the side length of the tiles. CalcTool finds how many tiles you need. If you also enter the number of tiles in a pack, or area coverage per pack, then the number of packs needed is also found.
