Hi 'Management' nice tool.

Here are some suggestions:

A personalisation tool would probably be useful, like some sort of cookie that would track your most-used Calcs and put them up on the front page whenever you log in.

Surveyors would probably find this very useful. I notice you've made a start with bricks and paint.

How about featuring a random Calc on the front page each time? That way people might think 'Oh, I never thought of that, that's useful.'

Cooking Calcs? Like how long to cook a ....kg/lbs turkey at Gas Mark 5/230ÂșC etc

No link to the forum from the front page. I found it by accident and it took so long to register that I gave up when it finally came to account confirmation (I obviously relented in the end though). That magic code picture thing could also be an utter bugger for anyone with colour blindness. I'm very mildly colour blind and found it tougher than other versions which aren't hard at all. All-in-all, I found the registration procedure a real pain-in-the-arse, it might be more suited to the future when you're getting thousands of hits a day.

Hi, and thanks for your comments. :D
You'll be pleased to hear that a personal favorites page is on the way, and will be ready just as soon as we get time to finish the coding. Your comments on the front page are also interesting. We'll think about how we might implement a "random calc", and we certainly need to put up a direct link to the forum main page.
As for your calc suggestions, these are great ideas. They will be added to the "to do" list and get done ASAP. If you want to speed up any calc's inclusion, then you can submit it with as much information as possible to the "Calculation requests" area of the forum. That will help us to get it into the database quickly and painlessly.

I have the personalisation thing being planned - its a bit of a major codeing job though so it's not been done yet.

The cooking calcs are in our to-do list - of course you need to add many disclaimers to those in case people start to blame us when their chicken is under-done due to their oven not being exact to the temperature setting!

The magic-code picture in the registration is, I agree, a pain, but it is really necessary because of the huge amount of (sexually-explicit) forum spam posted by robots. So far, they can't get through the captcha check, although they could get through the PHPBB2 version which was clearer to read.
