The SI unit for pressure (also used for stress and young's modulus) is the Pascal (Pa), corresponding to the force (in Newtons) per square meter area. This calc allows interconversion between the Pascal and other conventional units os pressure, such as mmHg, mbar, PSI and the atmosphere.

The Pascal is often an inconvenient unit, since atmospheric pressure is around 100,000 Pa. Therefore, other units have been conventionally used. For example in chemistry the mmHg is common, in weather reporting the mbar is used, for tire pressures and gas cylinders PSI is common, and for many high pressure applications the atmosphere is used. | |
